Due to the different uses and operating environmental conditions of color-coated panels, there are many factors that affect their service life. According to their application functions, the service life of color-coated panels can be divided into the following types:

Color coated board

(1) Decorative service life refers to defects such as objective fading, chalking, cracking, and scattered coating on the appearance of the color-coated board. It has an impact on the abstraction and aesthetics of the building, but it has not yet reached the level of maintenance of the coating.

(2) The service life of coating refurbishment refers to the appearance of the color steel plate showing most of the defects such as delamination and rust spots, which form the use of further corrosion of the substrate.

(3) The ultimate service life refers to the time when the color steel plate is used for a long time without being thinned until it shows serious corrosion and can no longer be used.

From the perspective of the commonly used color plate varieties and the normal operating environment, the service life of the black coated steel plate for construction can be roughly as follows:

Decorative service life: 8-12 years;

Refurbishment service life: 12-20 years;

Maximum service life: more than 20 years.
